Conservation and Global Outreach

The Foundation's programs focus on wildlife education and conservation regionally and on a global scale. Our education naturalists play an increasingly important role, raising awareness about the plight of many of the species on this planet, teaching about energy and natural resource conservation, which in turn empower the public to make small changes at home to become more environmentally friendly. Since 2010, Safari West has joined partners to raise millions of dollars for conservation in the United States and abroad. The Foundation's programs are many children’s first encounters with wildlife, influencing future teachers, biologists and policymakers.

Safari West also sets a goal of supporting conservation efforts and raising awareness of wildlife issues by donating to various conservation organizations where a member of a conservation organization presents their work to guests in the Elephant Special Events Room. For more information about conservation and upcoming talks, check Safari West's calendar.

In the end we will conserve only what we love,
we will love only what we understand,
and we will understand only what we are taught.
